Jenna and Kyle have been together for a year and a half before Kyle got on one knee in the kitchen and proposed to Jenna.  They had a darling Catholic ceremony at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Grand Rapids.  The newly wed couple and their bridal party hit the westside by trolley where they kicked back a couple beers at my personal favorite, Putt Putt’s Bar.  The reception was held at Lincoln Country Club, where the party proceded with TJ the DJ and everyone danced the night away.

Jenna and Kyle, you both held a great party and I was absolutely honored to be a part of it.  Best wishes to the both of you!!! xoxo

This beautiful Be Loved session took place in Detroit with Jon and Sara who met in the 8th grade.  They both have graduated from Eastern University and have currently made Detroit their home.  And because Detroit has been such a special place in their heart, it was easy to photograph these two knowing their connection to each other was rooted deeply.  I loved how laid back they were about everything and made me feel like a friend in their home.

I had asked Sara how Jon proposed.  She said during a New Years Eve party when the ball dropped, he got down on one knee in front of their closest friends and asked Sara to have a marriage with him and not a wedding.  Their story with made the simple romantic in me dance in my heart.  I love their sweetness and  how genuinely proud they are of each other.  It gives love a good name.

Sara and Jon, I look forward to your wedding in September.
