Archive for November, 2010
This may very well be the closest thing I will ever shoot for a GAP ad. Isn’t this family cute?! I honestly can’t get over it. For it being such a chilly day, the McArthur family was so great handling the cold weather. Even Brynn and Bode bared with it and made the best of a cool November afternoon. Brynn is such a great sister to Bode making sure he was smiling and snuggling with him for good pictures. What was more sweet was when I asked Brynn or Mom to move their hair away from their face, Bode would touch his head assuming I meant for him to fix his hair. Really this family was so easy going and entertaining along the way.
We are at our annual family pics this year, and my favorite Zimmer family is looking pretty schnazy in their white tops and denim jeans. The girls always crack me up because they love making silly faces and goofing around during pictures. I love it personally because these two girls showcase what great sense of humors they have at such an early age. And Zach, my goodness, he is turning into a young man. I’m sure Traci has to keep a close on him with all the girls calling the house asking for him. I just see trouble….really cute trouble. Again, it’s always fun and entertaining to photograph, your family Traci and Ken. Happy Holidays to you all!
Max is a Class of 2011 senior from Greenville High School. A hard working boy who works with his dad and has a lot of fun toys, which he shares during our session. I like simple and to the point and that pretty much sums up Max. We met at his house where we shot on his family’s property along with all of his rides. I’m so happy I had the opportunity to photograph you Max and wish nothing but the best for you during your final year in school!!
It seems as though the terrible 2′s are arriving just a little early for my sweet Nahya Bear. While this year’s fall weather has been absolutely fantastic to be outdoors, it still has had some pretty chilly days as it approaches November. Two sessions were required for this little monkey because the cold weather could not get this kiddo’s nose to stop running that and she was much more interested in putting her little tootsies in the water then wanting pictures done. Crazy kid. Session two happened in the living room of my girlfriend’s house along with extra back up (Nahya’s aunt and cousin) to help keep this kid focused or at least entertain us with song and dance. I can certainly tell you the spinning move is her favorite dance move and she likes to spin to the ABC’s. At least I know she’s working on her hip hop career early.
I think it’s quite possible that Auralia is quite the heartbreaker. Look at this kid’s face!!! Big blue eyes, round chunky cheeks, and pink pouty lips…yeah, dad better keep the gun close by on this one.
I met with Auralia and her two cousins, Adrianna and Memphis, at the Blandford Nature Center for some holiday photos. These three were overkill on the adorableness. Of course not everything is as easy as it looks but with the entourage these kids had it made the matching outfits and the cute cheeks turn these cuties into a JC Penny’s ad.
I have been very fortunate this year to photograph my family. Because I’m an only child, my family is consisted of mainly cousins, and two nieces. And I have a couple of cousins this year on their final year of school. My Sammy is one of them. She comes from Kenowa Hills High School and she likes hair, nail polish, animals, and Gucci Mane. Her dislikes: Horses.
Sam, there are no words that express how much I hold you close to my heart. I still keep your newborn picture on my desk. Going through your session has brought tears to my eyes because I still can’t believe what a beautiful young lady you have become, and I’m so fortunate to see you continue to grow. I know deep down in my heart that you will go to many places and experience amazing things. I love you more than you may understand now, but I know someday you will. Until then, I want you to make the best out of your final year in high school.
This handsome young man comes from Kellogsville High School and his likes? Video games, band, Yoshi, and board games in general. What I love about this kid? Everything! He’s my cousin, Brandon, and he always puts a smile on my face. His plans after high school is going to school for game design and touring the country of Japan where he will train as a skilled ninja, then take over the world. :)
Brandon, I’m so proud of you and I hope your final year as a year is unforgettable. I want you to enjoy every minute of it. I love you tons!!!
One of my favorite lola’s (grandma in tagalog) and her grandson, Max, met with me at Robinette’s Apple Haus and Orchard for some fall family fun. However, Max, wasn’t quite sure what to make of me, which is common with most babies. I would be hesitant too if someone was pointing some big black thing at my face for an hour and kept telling me to look at them. Yeah, Max, I don’t blame you one bit, buddy. Max is the son of a good ol’ high school friend and I get such a kick of how much he looks like her. The boy version is how I often refer him. But as much as he didn’t care for his photographs to be taken, I still love the tenderness of his face. I could nibble on his cheeks all day.
Lisa, Rosa, and Max, I love you so much!
This beautiful fall wedding takes place at Tamaron Country Club in Toledo, OH. I have to say Andrea is one of the most organized brides I have ever met. When I met with Andrea and Ron over a year and a half ago, she had pretty much had every thing set, venue, cake, gown, and all she needed to do was find her bridesmaids dresses. Really, I was super impressed on how ahead of schedule she was with her wedding planning, if only I possessed such great talents.
The ceremony took place inside the country club and was shortly followed with the reception inside as well. The weather had been was absolutely ideal for some outdoor photos, where Califf was able to snatch up some golf carts and we could go to another location on the golf course. I very dangerously sat on the bridesmaid’s lap as we cruised off into more of the golf course. What can I say…I’m a rebel. Actually, not so much. I was scared for my life as I thought that there was no doubt that I was going to fall out of the golf cart, head first with two cameras strapped around my neck. What was I thinking?! It really just makes for a good story and the bridal party in tag kept things entertaining.
What I love about this party is that everyone works at the veterinary office where I take all three of my boys (2 dogs and cat) to. So it was great to see so many familiar faces at Ron and Andrea’s party.
Andrea and Ron it was a pleasure to be a part of your very special day. You guys are so sweet and I wish the best for the both of you!! Congratulations! xoxo
Could these two girls be any cuter?! I met Sienna and Ava at Grotto Park for some fall fun and they are way too cute for their own good.
When I shoot young toddlers and infants, I generally get this look from the child that pretty much tells me “What’s in your hand? And why is it pointing at me?” Then, there is something much more amusing laying on the ground, such as a leaf or ball or rock and suddenly the curiosity strikes and ….Oh!! It’s in their mouth. However this time it went a little like that except for the all the curiosity. As a matter of fact, we were wondering where the curiosity went, which left me and Mom confused. Turns out little Ava, the youngest of the two, ended up with an ear infection. There just was no leaving her because she was trying to tell mom she wasn’t feeling good. Instead, we thought a handful of animal crackers would help this very upset little girl to smile.
Luckily, by the look of the images you would never have guessed little Ava wasn’t feeling too well. Big sister, Sienna, didn’t mind lookin’ all cute and silly for the camera. I’m just glad that baby Ava is feeling better and aside from, what seemed like, her fussiness she still was able to pull through on some super adorableness.
