Katie and Mark have been dating for a couple of years and met during med school.  What they have learned about each other since then is that Mark doesn’t put tupperware away and Katie’s a little crazy.  So I asked them what’s the one thing they like about one another and Katie tell me she loves Mark’s hair and Mark said Katie’s a little crazy (hmmm :)).  Their sweet little aussie pup, Cassidy, joined in on their Be Loved session at Robinette’s Apple Haus and Orchard.  We roamed around the orchard and got a little silly and got a little sweet; so sweet I even cried.  Good thing I was hiding behind the camera.  What I know about the both of them is that they are head over heels for each other.

Mark and Katie, you both are a beautiful couple.  I had so much fun photographing you and getting to know you guys just a little bit more.  I am so excited about your Traverse City wedding in August!!

Miss Mariam Yousef Karadsheh!!!

This little bundle of joy was born June 25, 2010 weighing in at a petite 5 lbs 13 oz and was 19 in long.  She was so quiet and sweet during our session, however, Mom said that wasn’t quite the case.  Hopefully Mom is getting more sleep these days.  I was blessed to photograph this darling little girl and honored that her parents let me to do so.  I look forward to the days when she is sitting, crawling, and chatting away.

Congratulations to the pair of you, Nadia and Yousef!!  Your family is beautiful!

Mr. Eric Michael Vander Boon!!

This little man was born June 7th 2010 weighing in at 8 lbs 10 oz and was 22 inches long.  I finally was able to make it over and meet this snuggly little guy.  Mom says he’s not much of a sleeper, which I guess Eric and I already have something in common because I’m not much of a sleeper either and I like to eat.

Eric makes baby number two for Jenny and Jay and we are so happy to have this bundle here regardless of the amount the of sleep they both don’t get, and Ava is getting pretty used to having a little brother around as well.

Congratulations, Jay and Jenny for your growing little family and I love you all tons and tons!!

I’m just going to go ahead and get this out of the way….It was 90+ degrees.  It’s been over a week and I still can’t get over the heat factor and now it’s been in the low 90’s since I’ve been home.  It seems as though the heat from Georgia has followed and its here to stay.  Alright, enough about the heat already!

Over a week ago, I went to Dahlogena, GA to photograph Melissa and John’s wedding at Blackstock Winery located on a massive hill-top overlooking a beautiful mountainous landscape.  What I love about weekend weddings is I had the opportunity to meet Melissa and John’s family and get to know everyone a little better.  Let me tell you, they really are a great group of people, especially, Melissa’s 5-year-old niece, Riley, who became my new BFF.  The weekend began at Melissa and John’s home with a little BBQ of about 30 close friends and relatives who all seem to be from out-of-town all the way from New Jersey, Florida, Indiana, and it goes on.  It was a great introductory of who everyone was and how they know John and Melissa, many of whom knew them from college and work.  The next day was an hour and a half trek north from Actworth into a quaint little town called Dahlogena.  Now for those of you have never been there, I would say it’s quite comparable to Mackinac Island but the town sits in a circle.  If you are not familiar with Mackinac Island, then the best way to describe Dahlogena is that’s a tiny little town with cute little shops and restaurants to pop in and out at.

There were so many special little things about John and Melissa’s wedding.  Melissa had put together (if not her, then close family members) almost every detail of the ceremony and reception.  During the ceremony, Melissa’s brother, Scott, became the “surprise” officiant, while his wife , Devan,  did a small reading.  This wedding was so intimate with so many personal details that encouraged more of the love they have for each other especially when family and friends were their to love with them.  And what I love about John and Melissa is not only watching the things they would do for each other (ex. Melissa bought John a “Fender” guitar as a wedding gift and John smiled for the camera) but they have such a great sense of humor and it was easy to laugh with them.  They also both had a sense of being adventurous.  They were willing to try different things.

Melissa and John, I had an amazing weekend with you guys and your families.  I loved coming to your home and going to Dahlogena.  It really was a beautiful town and I look forward in seeing you guys again!!  My most best of wishes to you both!!!

My sweet little niece will be turning 5 years old in a few days plus a few more days.  It’s amazing how quickly time flies by.  I know it’s a statement I have a tendency to makes several times when I’m blogging and photographing but I can’t help make such an apparent observation.  I absolutely love this session with Libby because each photo emulates what a bright and happy little girl she is and I can only imagine what kind of young lady she is going to become one day.  I love her to pieces and so does her Uncle Chris.  She brings so much  joy when she comes over and keeps us pretty entertained.

Libby, Uncle Chris and I look forward to your 5th birthday party!!  Just don’t expect us to bring anything.  icon wink Kids: Libby  We love you tons, Sweety!

Marina will soon be the ripe old age of 2 years old.  She was so intrigued with everything in the park except myself of course.  She sniffed the flowers.  She touched the water with her toes.  She found rocks in the creek.  Of course, all of those things we so much more important than having her picture taken.  I suppose that’s why she looks so darling in each photo because they were moments of being care free.  “Who cares about photos Mom! The water feels good on my feet.  I want to play and touch and smell and drink.”  (That’s me interpreting for her).  At least she has some time to enjoy all the wonderful little things until she officially becomes a big sister. icon wink Kids: Marina

It was a pleasure to hang out with darling, little Marina and I can’t wait to meet your new little brother or sister.
